The northern tip of Sri Lanka is less than 30 miles from the southeast coast of India.

The picture above left is a view of Galle Face Green in Colombo. The Green was built by the British and in recent years has been "refurbished." On the right is the old Cargill's department store in the Fort section of Colombo. Similar British colonial architecture is found in Mumbai, India.

The twin towers are known as the World Trade Center. Terrorists attempted to blow them up as well.

And where do I live? You'll find it on this map from WikiMapia:

When the map opens, under "Map Type" choose "Satellite." Our house will be outlined and named when you move the pointer over it. You will see a splotch of red: that's our red tiled roof! And if you look very carefully at the rice fields to the left of that land peninsula, you can even see me walking along a bund in the middle of the paddy.
